About Henry Rose
Henry Rose makes genderless fine fragrances with full ingredient disclosure, sold alongside minis, discovery sets and gift sets; the brand launched in 2019 and was created by Michelle Pfeiffer.
Every sale is final, so testing a scent through a mini or discovery set before buying a full bottle is the careful route, and US orders of $75 or more ship free.
Henry Rose grew out of a personal search. Michelle Pfeiffer says she started checking product labels after becoming a mother, gave up perfume because its ingredients went undisclosed, and spent more than ten years looking for a way to make one she could fully explain. She found a partner in International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), whose perfumers worked from a limited palette of approved ingredients.
The brand states that every scent is EWG Verified and Cradle to Cradle Certified. Its bottles use 90% recycled glass, the caps are compostable soy, and the cartons are FSC-certified hemp paper, while the fragrances are blended and bottled at a site powered by solar and wind energy. Shoppers can browse by scent family or note, or use the online Fragrance Finder, and a portion of proceeds goes to Breast Cancer Prevention Partners (BCPP).
