About iMemories

iMemories is a mail-in digitizing service, part of Ancestry, that turns videotapes, 8mm, Super 8 and 16mm film, photo prints, slides and negatives into streamable files.

Its headline deal is 50% off digitizing, and a price quote reaches you before you pay, so you see the cost of your box first.

iMemories is run by a team of more than 250 digital restoration specialists in Scottsdale, Arizona. Customers gather their tapes, reels and photos into a SafeShip Kit and send them in with no need to sort or label anything beforehand.

The company's McKenzie AI Enhancement, built and trained in-house and named after a lake known for its clarity, can sharpen footage, clean up flaws and correct color while keeping the natural look of the original. Finished files live in the iMemories app, which streams home movies and photo albums on smart TVs, tablets, laptops and phones, and lets families pass clips along by text, email and social media. Anyone who wants digital masters can download them for free or order custom DVDs and USB drives.

When shoppers look for iMemories coupons

iMemories coupon searches peak in December, about 1.7× a typical month, and dip lowest in May.

US Google searches, Oct 2025 to Sep 2026. Search interest, not sales.

How long does iMemories shipping take?

Sending your box is included in the SafeShip Kit, while getting originals back carries separate shipping and handling charges.

How to use a iMemories coupon

Payment for the digitizing itself comes after iMemories receives your box.
Within 5-7 days of arrival, an email lands with the order to review and pay before processing starts.
That review is where any discount shows, so compare the total with the 50% off digitizing offer before you approve.
The SafeShip Kit is $14.99, down from $29.99.
TV shows and Hollywood movies aren't digitized, and an order with non-approved copyrighted material can't be refunded, so pull those tapes out before shipping.
A gift card can cover part of a bill, with any balance above it paid by credit card.

More ways to save at iMemories

Repairs are included free, so a damaged tape doesn't push up the quote.
Choosing downloads, which cost nothing, over DVD or Blu-ray copies saves $9.99 a disc even at the reduced price.
AI Enhancement at $4.99 per tape or 50 ft is optional, so add it only to the footage that needs it.
If you don't plan to stream from the cloud, cancel the Cloud trial before the 30 days end; after that it's $7.99/month or $49.99/year.
