About Curlsmith
Curlsmith makes vegan, cruelty-free curl care for wavy, curly and coily hair, from shampoos and leave-ins to stylers, treatments and tools.
The rule that matters most for saving: anything bought in a Black Friday, Cyber Week or Last Chance promotion is final sale, so a deep discount there gives up the 30-day refund.
Curlsmith grew out of a group of curly, wavy and coily-haired people online who traded tips and frustrations about products not made for them. The brand launched on Ulta.com for American buyers in 2018 and reached Ulta Beauty shops in 2019, later expanding in the UK and EU. Helen of Troy, a US company with a long background in beauty and hair care, bought Curlsmith in April 2022, and the team stayed in place.
The site sorts its range by hair type and by need, such as moisture, frizz, volume, strength or fragrance-free care. Shoppers who are unsure where to start can take a styler or routine quiz, read the Curl Academy and product guides, or join Curlsmith Rewards to earn points on purchases, reviews and referrals. Canadian buyers are served by a separate Curlsmith site.
