About SimpleNursing
SimpleNursing sells online study memberships for nursing students, pairing animated lecture videos with practice questions and study guides for nursing school courses and NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN exam prep.
Plan length moves the price more than any code: Nursing School monthly access starts at $20/month, while yearly memberships drop to as low as $15/month.
SimpleNursing grew out of a YouTube channel that Mike Linares, known to students as Nurse Mike, started in 2012 after struggling to retain material as a nursing student at Cerritos, in Southern California. He turned hard topics into visual, playful lessons for classmates, set the business up as an LLC in 2017, released its first animated video series in 2019, and in 2023 the company became part of the Colibri Group, a professional education company.
Beyond the core courses it offers TEAS and HESI prep, flashcards, study guide books, the MemoryMusic podcast, a New Grad Program and material for nursing instructors. A tool called Rubi Match links a student's own lecture slides or syllabus to the matching videos. Content comes from a team that includes RNs, nursing professors and people who write or have written NCLEX questions.
