About OPENROAD

OPENROAD equips vehicles for off-road and overland travel with aluminum truck caps, rooftop tents, awnings, electric winches, tonneau covers, roof racks and recovery gear, shipped from Gainesville, Georgia by a brand started in 2015.

Shipping is free on most U.S. orders and already built into tent and cap prices, so the rule that matters is that delivered rooftop tents cannot be returned: settle on the model before a code goes in.

OPENROAD traces its start to a founder named Simon, an outdoor enthusiast who wanted simpler, tougher gear than what he found on the market for vehicle-based camping. The brand now also runs separate storefronts for Australia and Europe and appears at events such as Overland Expo West.

Its rooftop tents come in the EdgeRoof, FlowRoof Side and PeakRoof LT series, and the truck caps include aluminum-side, sliding-glass-side and integrated camper versions. Winches range from 4500 lb and 6000 lb models for ATVs and UTVs to the Panther Series 3S for trucks and Jeeps, rated up to 13,500 lb. Awnings include a 270 free-standing model, a shower awning and side walls, with fabric described as 600D ripstop polyester treated with the brand's Full-Shading Coating.
