About Incogni

Incogni is a subscription that files removal requests with data brokers and people search sites, so your personal details come off their lists.

Incogni grew out of Surfshark: in September 2021 the VPN company's team looked into data privacy problems and settled on the loosely regulated data broker industry. Today Incogni sits in the same group as NordVPN, and it also runs Ironwall, a privacy service for organizations that want to shield employees and executives.

The consumer service works on repeat. After a profile is created and an authorization form is signed, Incogni sends removal requests to brokers covering the US, the EU and Canada, rescans on a schedule and reports progress in a dashboard. It cites the GDPR, CCPA and similar laws as the basis for its requests. Unlimited plans add custom removals from sites outside the standard list, and family plans cover up to 5 members. The company says it is SOC 2 Type II audited.

  2. Choose the tier and billing first, because both the October sale and the strongest referral rate apply to annual plans, while a referred friend on monthly billing gets 16% off.
