About TOMS
TOMS sells alpargatas, espadrilles, boots, sneakers and slip-ons for women, men and kids, plus socks and sunglasses, and gives part of its profits to children's education and health causes.
The number to plan around is $75: above it, Economy shipping to one contiguous US address is free and applied automatically.
TOMS was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie, who started the company in Venice Beach. Its signature shoe is the Alpargata, a take on the espadrille, a style the brand traces from Spain to Argentina. Its giving works through grants, donated products and partnerships, and the site names organizations such as Save the Children, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, Brave Trails and East Side Riders Bike Club.
The lineup includes the TRVL LITE collection, TOMS Classics, wide-width styles, crib shoes for babies and a customization option. Shoppers can trade in gently worn items for store credit at TOMS.com, handled by thredUP, and the free TOMS Rewards program has three tiers, Good, Gooder and Goodest. Outside the US, TOMS sells through separate country websites.

How to use a TOMS coupon
- TOMS puts codes and gift cards in the same "Discount code or gift card" field at checkout; enter yours and click Apply.
- The 20% ID.me discount needs verification first, and each person gets one code.
- It can't be combined with other promotions, offers or discounts, apart from shipping promotions, so you keep free shipping over $75.
- Discounts don't touch gift cards, taxes, shipping or other fees, and they won't apply to shoes you've already bought.
- Because orders can't be cancelled and TOMS doesn't adjust prices later, the code has to go in before you place the order.
If your TOMS code doesn't work
- Exclusions: Discounts do not apply to gift cards, taxes, shipping or other fees, or to previously purchased merchandise.
- Combining offers: ID.me discounts and sales cannot be combined with other promotions, offers or discounts except shipping promotions.
- End date: "45% Discount on Your Next Order when you Sign Up for Texts" ends Jan 1, 2027; "40% Off Orders" ends Jan 1, 2027.
- Where to enter it: Enter codes and gift cards in the "Discount code or gift card" field at checkout and click Apply.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at TOMS
- TOMS Rewards is free with an account, and the higher tiers earn faster: 1.25 points per $1 at Gooder and 1.5 at Goodest, where Economy shipping is free on every order.
- Members also get early access and member-only offers.
- Gently worn shoes, clothing and accessories can be traded in through thredUP for TOMS.com credit.
- Recent flash events included free shipping on all orders on October 12-13, 2026 and a Boots Flash Sale of up to 40% off on October 20-21, 2026.
TOMS questions, answered
Does TOMS charge for returns?
A refund to your original payment carries a $4.99 restocking fee, which disappears if you take store credit. The UPS return label is free in the contiguous US, and size exchanges of the same item cost nothing.
Who qualifies for the TOMS ID.me discount?
Military members, teachers, healthcare workers and first responders get 20% off after verifying with ID.me. It doesn't combine with other promotions except shipping deals.
Can I cancel a TOMS order?
Orders can't be cancelled or changed once placed. Return the shoes after delivery instead.
Does TOMS.com ship internationally?
TOMS.com doesn't ship outside the US, so shoppers abroad use the brand's country websites.
Do TOMS gift cards expire?
TOMS gift cards don't expire, but they're final sale and only work at TOMS.com.
