How Smile Zemi discounts work
Smile Zemi doesn't use public promo codes. Its savings come from referrals and sign-up campaigns.
If a friend already subscribes, ask them for their referral code. Enter it at the end of the Enrollment Survey during your Home Trial. You'll each get a $50 E-Gift Card once you've both stayed subscribed for at least 4 months after the trial.
Check the Special Offers page before you sign up, too. One campaign there gives the Smile Tablet for $0 instead of $329.99 with a one-year plan, and a sibling discount applies automatically at checkout.
About Smile Zemi
Smile Zemi runs a home learning subscription for Pre-K through grade 5, teaching math, English language arts and word study on its own ad-free Smile Tablet.
Because every course runs only on that tablet and each child needs one, the saving that matters most is the new-subscriber tablet offer, which, while it runs, removes the cost of a device normally priced at $329.99.
Smile Zemi is a service of JustSystems Corporation, a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market with more than two decades of education work in Japan and the United States; JustSystems America, Inc. runs it in the US. Its lessons lean on a "learn by writing" approach, with handwritten spelling and math work done on the tablet, and the program adjusts to each child's level much as a tutor would.
Families in several states, including Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Texas, Utah and Wyoming, can use ESA program funds through approved vendor listings, and the site also covers homeschooling, charter school funding and 529 plan use. Summer, winter and spring programs come with the subscription, and the company has donated tablets to hospitalized children at Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach.

How to use a Smile Zemi promo code
- Smile Zemi does not rely on a typed code box in the usual way: campaign offers appear as a coupon on the sign-up (application) screen, and an offer only counts once that coupon is selected during enrolment.
- Sibling discounts need no action at all, since they apply automatically at checkout when additional children join.
- Families paying through a state ESA subsidy should read the terms first, because ESA-funded accounts may not qualify for the e-gift card or the sibling discount.
- The tablet kit's shipping fee also sits outside any trial refund, so a seasonal free-shipping campaign is worth waiting for when the start date is flexible.
More ways to save at Smile Zemi
- Enrolling siblings on the same day unlocks two perks while they run: an e-gift card for each subscription and a first-month discount for each additional child.
- Smile Zemi's own pricing FAQ points to the annual plan as the most cost-effective choice for families staying the course.
- Households with ESA or charter school funding can cover the membership from public education money instead of a card, and Smile Tablet Care is worth reviewing before its first paid renewal if repair cover is not needed.
Smile Zemi questions, answered
Does Smile Zemi have a free trial?
New subscribers get a 21-day home trial counted from the day the tablet ships, not the day it arrives. Cancelling in the Parent Portal and returning every item within 14 days brings a refund of everything but shipping.
Is the Smile Tablet free with a Smile Zemi subscription?
The tablet normally costs $329.99, and a time-limited campaign gives it free to new subscribers while it is live. Each child needs a separate tablet, since the courses run on nothing else.
Can ESA funds pay for Smile Zemi?
Smile Zemi is an approved vendor for several state ESA programs and charter schools, so eligible families can use public education funds. Accounts paid through an ESA subsidy may miss out on the e-gift card and the sibling discount.
How much does shipping the Smile Zemi tablet kit cost?
Ground delivery is $18.52 within 5 days, though not to Hawaii or Alaska; 2-Day costs $27.31 and Overnight $39.87. Free shipping appears only during seasonal campaigns, which have no fixed dates.
Does a Smile Zemi membership renew automatically?
Monthly, 6-month and 1-year plans all renew until cancelled. Once the trial has passed, fees already processed for a payment period are not refunded.
What happens after the first year of Smile Tablet Care?
Smile Tablet Care, which discounts tablet repair or replacement, switches to $49.99 per year once its free first year ends, unless it is withdrawn before then.
