  1. Before counting on a Target promotion, check who sells the item.
  2. Gift-card-with-purchase and buy-one-get-one offers leave out anything sold and shipped by Target Plus third-party partners, and a BOGO discount never comes off tax or shipping.
  3. Target also says prices, promotions and availability can vary by location and on Target.com, so a deal you saw for one store may not show for your order.
  4. Then watch the $35 free-shipping line: it's counted after discounts, and the shipping charge below $35 isn't stated, so a saving that pushes the cart under it can cost you.
