ParkWhiz is owned by FlashParking, Inc. and works as a booking marketplace for parking: drivers search for a garage or lot near where they are going, compare the options side by side and prepay, then enter using a mobile parking pass on their phone. Spaces can be reserved for right away or for a later date, which suits concerts and other events.

The site has city parking guides for places such as Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Washington DC and Toronto, along with a section for airport parking. On the business side, ParkWhiz for Business serves companies, and property owners can list their own parking spaces on the platform.
