About Luckyscent

Luckyscent has sold niche and independent perfume online since 2002, along with samples, discovery sets, candles and bath and body, and runs Scent Bar stores in Los Angeles and New York.

The $75 mark matters most here: US orders above it ship free, and full-bottle purchases of $75 or more come with free samples.

Luckyscent opened its first physical shop, Scent Bar in Hollywood, in 2006, and laid out the perfumes by scent family instead of by label, so visitors could compare across houses. Scent Bar now also has locations in downtown Los Angeles, New York City and Brooklyn. The company says it was an early pioneer of mailing perfume samples to people who could not visit in person, and it now offers Fragrance Fittings, an online service where staff members, not an algorithm, suggest scents.

The site doubles as a learning resource, with video reviews and livestreams, a perfumer directory, a glossary of terms and a podcast called It's Just Perfume. Its lifestyle section reaches past fragrance into tea, books, laundry care, diffusers, room sprays and incense.
