Planet Green Recycle pairs its cartridge shop with a free recycling fundraiser: schools, clubs and non-profits collect used inkjet cartridges and send them in to raise money, while it turns away toner, laserjet and large-format units. Shoppers can also enter a participating group's Program ID when buying ink or toner, so part of the purchase goes to that group, though joining a fundraiser is not required to shop.
The company says its DoorStepInk cartridges are remanufactured in a 35,000 square foot facility, where testing covers page yields, color range and lifetime performance, and an in-house technology center builds its own tools and production equipment. The catalog spans HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Lexmark and Ricoh supplies, and a separate program serves resellers.
