About Power Life
Power Life runs heated power yoga, hot Pilates, barre and sculpt classes at studios in Des Moines, Kansas City, Omaha and Tulsa, and sells memberships and teacher trainings alongside them.
The saving that matters most goes to newcomers: a $10 intro week of unlimited classes, bought online, in the app or in the studio, before any membership decision.
The founders, married couple Adam and Steph Geneser, grew up in Des Moines, built careers in other places and then returned to Iowa, where they set out to create a studio rooted in community. They settled on the name in the hospital, hours before their first son was born. What began as a single studio now spans four markets, and every instructor comes through Elevate, the company's own teacher training program, before teaching a class.
The class menu covers yoga, Hot Pilates, Power Barre, Power Sculpt and F.I.T., mostly in heated or semi-heated rooms, and separate trainings and retreats serve people who want to teach. The minimum age for students is 14, and anyone under 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent. Through the Power Life Foundation, the company also tries to bring yoga to groups that usually face barriers to it.
