About Young Electric

Young Electric sells hitch-mounted racks for e-bikes and e-trikes, many with loading ramps and a 200-300 lb capacity, along with rack accessories and off-road electric bikes.

Young Electric says its team of 40 engineers, many of them cyclists, set out to build e-bikes that are affordable, eco-friendly and approachable for both new and experienced riders. Its bikes use an integrated drive in which a torque sensor reads pedaling force and tells the motor how much help to give, easing climbs and saving battery on flat ground.

The racks fit a 2-inch hitch receiver on cars, SUVs, trucks and RVs, and carry fat-tire and folding e-bikes as well as adult tricycles. Newer designs add tire clamps, folding frames and dual safety locks, and the off-road model is rated at 150 lb per bike. E-bikes carry a 5-year frame warranty, 2 years on electrical parts and 1 year on other mechanical parts, while new racks have a one-year limited warranty.
