About Circular
Circular sells the Circular Ring 2, a smart ring designed in Paris that tracks sleep, activity and heart data through the Circular app.
No subscription is needed to use its features, and shipping and handling are already built into the ring's price, so any discount comes straight off the ring itself.
Circular was started in Paris by founders who wanted to follow their own health day to day and found that existing wearables mostly counted steps and scored workouts. The company is funded by its founders together with business angels and family offices, and its staff of engineers, product specialists and designers works with input from clinical advisors. Circular says everyone on its engineering team wears the ring.
The Circular Ring 2 is a titanium band of about four grams with seven sensors, and the app adds Kira, an AI health coach that explains readings in plain sentences. Features listed on the site include a 40-second single-lead ECG, blood pressure trends calibrated against a cuff, sleep stages and a medication reminder. A Circular Ring 3 is in development, with a waitlist open.
