About DSW
DSW sells women's, men's and kids' shoes from top brands, and its stores also repair shoes and bags.
The detail that shapes most orders is the free-shipping banner: carts of $75 or more ship free with the code shown in that site-wide banner, and DSW doesn't list the shipping cost below that line.
DSW belongs to Designer Brands Inc. Its range runs from boots, sneakers and running shoes to heels, flats, loafers, clogs, sandals and Mary Janes, with western boots, work and safety footwear, handbags and accessories on the side. Brands carried include Nike, adidas, New Balance, Skechers, Brooks, Birkenstock, Steve Madden, Timberland, UGG, Ryka and Dr. Scholl's.
The repair counters in its stores are operated by Cobblers Direct. Shoes, bags and belts can be dropped off without booking ahead. DSW VIP is a free rewards program, and money spent on repairs earns points as well.

When shoppers look for DSW coupons
DSW coupon searches peak in September, about 1.3× a typical month, and dip lowest in February.
What is DSW's return policy?
A receipt gets you a full refund within 60 days of purchase, and Same Day Delivery items follow that standard policy too.
How long does DSW shipping take?
Some items arrive via Same Day Delivery when ordered by 2 p.m. local time, and in-store pickup is free.
Does DSW price match?
DSW's site links a Price Match Policy page and a student discount, but their terms and the discount amount weren't read.
More about shopping at DSW
- DSW VIP
- The free rewards program earns points, including on shoe repair services done at DSW stores.
- Email sign-up
- New email subscribers get 10% off, a standing offer that runs apart from the time-limited banner promotions.
- Remote addresses
- Remote locations and APO/FPO addresses take extra time, so order those well ahead of when you need the shoes.
- Gift cards
- DSW sells gift cards under separate gift card terms, so read those before giving a card in place of a pair of shoes.
From DSW's own pages, read Oct 8, 2026.

How to use a DSW coupon
- DSW's codes come from its own site banners.
- The current 20% off promotion covers regular-price styles and runs through Oct 11 in 2026, so check whether a pair is marked down before expecting it to apply.
- Free shipping on $75+ uses a separate banner code, and new email subscribers get 10% off on top of the list sign-up.
- Whether the banner codes combine isn't stated, so try both in the cart and keep the lower total.
- Tax follows the delivery address, or the store's location for pickup orders, which can shift the final number when you switch methods.
More ways to save at DSW
- DSW VIP costs nothing and earns points, including on drop-off repairs of shoes, bags and belts by Cobblers Direct at DSW stores, no appointment needed.
- Last Chance styles run up to 60% off online and can beat a percentage code on regular-price pairs.
- Free in-store pickup skips shipping on carts under $75; same-day pickup needs the order by 6 p.m. or four hours before closing.
- Gift cards are sold under separate gift card terms.
- If a pair sits outside the regular-price promotion, the 10% off for new email subscribers is the standing discount left to try.
DSW questions, answered
What is DSW VIP?
DSW VIP is a free rewards program that earns points. Shoe repair services at DSW stores earn points as well.
Can I get DSW shoes the same day?
Some items qualify for Same Day Delivery if you order by 2 p.m. local time. Same-day in-store pickup needs the order by 6 p.m. or four hours before the store closes.
Does DSW offer a student discount?
A student discount link sits in DSW's site footer. The amount and how students verify weren't read, so follow the link for the current terms.
Where can I get shoes repaired at DSW?
DSW stores take drop-off shoe, bag and belt repairs handled by Cobblers Direct, with no appointment needed. Those repair services also earn DSW VIP points.
Which saves more at DSW, Last Chance styles or the 20% off promotion?
Last Chance styles run up to 60% off online, while the 20% off promotion covers only regular-price styles through Oct 11 in 2026. Compare a Last Chance price with a regular-price pair minus 20% before you choose.
Does DSW charge sales tax on in-store pickup orders?
Pickup orders are taxed on the DSW store's location, while delivered orders use the delivery address. If your nearest store sits in a different tax area than your home, the total can shift when you switch between pickup and delivery.
