About Handy

Handy books home cleaning and handyman jobs online, from furniture assembly and TV mounting to wall hanging, and it gives free quotes for bigger home improvement projects.

Each task is paid in advance by card at an upfront price. Timing is the rule that matters most, since a late cancellation costs $25 or the full service price.

Handy is powered by Angi, and it presents itself as a simple, dependable way to keep up with a home. Its wider service menu covers move-out, office and deep cleaning; light fixture and ceiling fan installs; basic plumbing and electrical work; moving help; and outdoor jobs such as lawn care, gutters, tree trimming, fences and decks. Renovation quotes span bathroom, kitchen and basement remodels, roofing, windows and flooring.

The Handy app lets customers manage appointments, message their pro, check profiles and ratings, and follow the pro's location in real time. Handy also recruits cleaners, handymen and smart home installers, saying pros pay no lead fees, and it partners with companies that want to offer home services to customers, tenants or employees. It operates in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

When shoppers look for Handy coupons

Handy coupon searches peak in July, about 3.6× a typical month, and dip lowest in March.

US Google searches, Oct 2025 to Sep 2026. Search interest, not sales.

What payment methods does Handy accept?

Credit and debit cards, charged in advance, and a Trust and Support Fee may be added per appointment.

How to use a Handy coupon

  1. A promotional coupon at Handy works only on the services it's designated for, and it expires on the date given with it.
  2. Check that the cleaning or handyman task you're booking matches before you pay, since your card is charged in advance.
  3. Handy Savings Membership discounts can't be combined with other discounts, coupons or offers, so a member picks either the membership price or a coupon for a booking.
  4. A coupon also doesn't soften the cancellation rules.
  5. Moving that discounted booking with less than 24 hours' notice still costs $25, or the full service price inside 2 hours.

If your Handy code doesn't work

  • Minimum order: "10% Off $117+ Orders on Select Items" needs an order of at least $117.
  • Combining offers: Handy Savings Membership discounts can't be combined with other discounts, coupons or offers.
  • New customers only: "4-Hour Deep Clean for Only $129 for New Customers" is for a first order.
  • End date: "25% Off Storewide" ends Nov 17, 2026; "Get 10% Off Your Purchase" ends Nov 17, 2026.

More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.

More ways to save at Handy

  • Booking changes early is the cheapest habit at Handy, because anything more than 24 hours out costs nothing.
  • Handy Savings adds a member discount, though the site doesn't publish its size, and the membership renews on its own.
  • Weigh that renewal against how often you book a cleaner.
  • Handy Select has a short exit: fees come back only if you cancel within three days of signing up and haven't used it.
  • A gift card covers a cleaning or a TV mounting for someone else.
