About Makera

Makera sells smart desktop CNC machines, the Carvera, Carvera Air and Makera Z1, together with add-ons, milling bits, materials and free CAM software, shipped from fulfillment centers in California and Georgia.

The largest standing saving is the $100 education discount for students and individual teachers on machines over $1,600, and it refuses to combine with any other code.

Makera was founded in 2019 and builds its machines in Anhui, China. Each model can be extended with add-ons such as 4th axis modules, laser modules and the Cyclone dust collector, and the brand positions the Z1 as its entry-level machine. Makera Studio combines CAM and machine control and links to community projects, while Makera Controller runs on Windows, Mac and Android; Fusion and VCarve are also supported.

The materials shop stocks 6061 and 7075 aluminum, brass, copper, Delrin, acrylic, polycarbonate, carbon fiber, epoxy tooling board and blank PCBs, and the Maker Toolkit series bundles projects such as custom tags, fidget toys and PCB fabrication. Machines carry a 1-year warranty, and the Carvera ships with a 1/8-inch collet.

How to use a Makera discount code

  1. Makera applies discount codes during checkout, and the education code is the one with firm conditions: VerifyPass issues it once per customer after confirming university enrolment or individual teaching status, and it only reduces a Carvera, Carvera Air or Z1 priced over $1,600.
  2. It cannot sit alongside any other discount code, so a sale code and the education code are an either-or decision.
  3. Schools and other organizations do not qualify for the educator version.
  4. Buyers in Hawaii, Alaska, Guam or Puerto Rico fall outside the free shipping zone, which changes the comparison between offers before the order is placed.
