About Makeup by Mario

Makeup by Mario sells cruelty-free makeup and brushes from makeup artist Mario, from foundation and blush to eyeshadow palettes, lip products and brush kits.

The rule that shapes every discount here is simple: codes can't be used during sitewide sales, so a welcome code and a sale price never land on the same order.

Makeup by Mario is the beauty brand of makeup artist Mario, and its shop is organized by face, cheeks, eyes, lips and brushes, with separate sections for new launches, Mario's exclusives and an Artistry Feed. The complexion range includes SurrealSkin foundation in 32 shades, and the eye range runs from cream shadows to the Master Mattes palette. Limited-edition minis, duos and brush trios appear next to the core line.

Beyond the products, the brand runs a free loyalty program called Rewards by Mario, a Pro program for approved professional makeup artists, and a quiz to help shoppers find a match.

When shoppers look for Makeup by Mario coupons

Makeup by Mario coupon searches peak in November, about 2.4× a typical month, and dip lowest in September.

US Google searches, Oct 2025 to Sep 2026. Search interest, not sales.

Does Makeup by Mario offer free shipping?

Yes. US standard shipping is free from $35 before taxes, and Gold members of Rewards by Mario get it on every order.

How long does Makeup by Mario shipping take?

DHL takes 2-5 business days after 1-2 business days of processing, UPS 2 Day is the faster US option, and PO boxes aren't accepted.

What is Makeup by Mario's return policy?

You have 30 days from purchase, refunds go back to your card minus a $7 return fee, and free gifts must come back too.

What payment methods does Makeup by Mario accept?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Discover and Diners Club are accepted, along with PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna.

How to use a Makeup by Mario discount code

  1. Makeup by Mario runs on Shopify, so the discount box sits in the order summary on the checkout page.
  2. The 15% welcome code arrives by email once you create an account or sign up, and it works one time only.
  3. Before you paste it, look over the bag.
  4. The code covers full-price items and skips new launches, holiday kits and anything already marked down.
  5. It also refuses to combine with other offers, and no code works while a sitewide sale is on.
  6. If a sale is running, compare the sale price with 15% off full price and take the bigger cut.
  7. Approved professional makeup artists skip the code step entirely, since their level-based membership discount is applied at checkout.

If your Makeup by Mario code doesn't work

  • Exclusions: Discounts exclude holiday kits, MoistureGlow On The Go, Mario's Lip Lift Kit and already discounted items; new launches and limited editions are excluded from points redemption.
  • Combining offers: Discount and loyalty codes cannot be used during sitewide sales; the welcome code cannot be combined with other offers.
  • New customers only: "Take up to 20% off Your First Order" is for a first order.

More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.

More ways to save at Makeup by Mario

  • Rewards by Mario is free to join.
  • Points post 30 days after fulfillment and expire after one year, so they reward steady buyers more than one-off hauls.
  • Gold status is the real prize, because it removes the $35 minimum for free standard shipping.
  • Points can't be redeemed on new launches or limited editions, so spend them on core shades.
  • Gift cards work only on makeupbymario.com and can't be applied to past purchases.
  • Weekday orders placed by 11:59am EST start processing that day, and they can't be changed once processing begins.

Makeup by Mario questions, answered

Can a Makeup by Mario code be used during a sitewide sale?

Discount and loyalty codes are blocked during sitewide sales at Makeup by Mario. The welcome code also can't be combined with other offers, so pick the sale price or the code.

Does Makeup by Mario charge for returns?

A $7 return fee comes off refunds, which go back to the original payment method within 30 days of purchase. Shade exchanges are possible where another variant exists.

Is there a discount for professional makeup artists?

Approved professional makeup artists get a level-based membership discount, applied at checkout. Holiday kits are left out of it.

How long does Makeup by Mario shipping take?

US standard orders travel by DHL in 2-5 business days once 1-2 business days of processing are done. Orders under $35 pay a rate calculated at checkout.

Can a Makeup by Mario order be canceled?

Orders can't be changed or canceled once processing begins. Weekday orders placed by 11:59am EST start processing the same business day, so the window is short.

Does Makeup by Mario ship internationally?

Most countries are covered through Global-e, which acts as seller of record, with DHL Express taking 3-7 business days. International returns put shipping and customs costs on you.
