About Nutrafol

Nutrafol sells hair-growth supplements, mostly by subscription, with formulas for women 18-44, women 45+, postpartum and men, plus scalp and strand care.

Its Real Growth Guarantee is the term to read before you subscribe, because it refunds six months of product only if you follow every step.

Nutrafol was co-founded by Giorgos Tsetis, its chairman, with entrepreneur Roland Peralta and physician Dr. Sophia Kogan, each of whom dealt with thinning hair before starting the brand. Its products are positioned as nutraceuticals with a whole-body view of hair health, aimed at causes the company names as hormones, stress, nutrition, metabolism, lifestyle and aging. A board of scientific advisors, several of them board-certified dermatologists, supports the formulas, and the brand belongs to Nutraceutical Wellness, Inc., which also owns the Synergen Complex trademark.

Nutrafol says it was the first hair growth supplement to earn NSF Certified for Sport status, and it is MLB's official hair growth partner. The company reports that clinical-study participants saw results after 3 to 6 months of daily use, and it does not recommend its supplements for anyone under 18. A newer addition is Strand Serum.
