About Obagi
Obagi sells medical-grade skincare online, from vitamin C serums and retinol to peels, cleansers, sunscreens and full skincare systems.
Some lines are prescription-only and come through physicians, so the online store carries the rest. Stacking is the rule to know first, since Subscribe & Save and the FSA/HSA offer won't combine with any other discount.
Obagi Medical describes itself as a pioneer of medical-grade skincare, pointing to more than 35 years behind the brand and a presence in over 80 countries. The company also says no skincare brand before it had tested products across every skin type on the Fitzpatrick scale. Educational pages such as Skincare 101 and Our Science set out its approach, and the site has a For Professionals area, a Physician Finder and pages about its dermal fillers.
For home shoppers, the store offers gift and value sets, a Build Your Own Bundle option and the Obagi Peel Program. Online orders are capped at 5 units of any one product and cannot be changed after they are placed. Obagi.com adds sales tax based on the state and city an order ships to.
When shoppers look for Obagi coupons
Obagi coupon searches peak in April, about 1.4× a typical month, and dip lowest in August.
Does Obagi offer free shipping?
Yes. Registered account holders get free ground shipping on $165 or more in the contiguous US, excluding APO/FPO/PO boxes, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
How long does Obagi shipping take?
Orders take 1-2 business days to process, then 3-5 business days by ground; APO/FPO/PO box orders can take up to 14 business days.
What is Obagi's return policy?
You have 30 days from delivery, with a prepaid UPS label to drop off within 7 days and a refund in 7-10 business days.
What payment methods does Obagi accept?
Obagi.com takes Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal and Afterpay for skincare orders.
More about shopping at Obagi
- Not refundable
- Shipping fees, samples and final-sale items don't come back, and only purchases made on Obagi.com qualify for a return.
- Subscribe & Save
- Subscriptions have no minimum term and can be paused or cancelled anytime, though the discount size isn't printed on the site.
- Loyalty
- The Premier Points program has been discontinued, and any points you held can no longer be redeemed.
- Excluded items
- Products marked "Excluded from all Discounts", such as the Nu-Gen Cellular Renewal Serum and Lip Therapy micro-peel, take no codes.
- Order limits
- Each order is capped at 5 units per product and $3,000 in total, and it can't be cancelled or modified once placed.
- Where it ships
- Only US addresses, no freight forwarders, and some Nu-Derm and sunscreen products can't go to California, Maryland or Hawaii.

How to use a Obagi coupon
- Obagi runs on Shopify, so the discount box sits in the order summary on the checkout page.
- Sign in to your account before checking out, because free shipping at $165 applies only to registered account holders.
- Anything marked "Excluded from all Discounts" won't take a code.
- A subscription order or an FSA/HSA purchase won't combine with a code either, so pick the better of the two.
- Orders ship quickly and can't be cancelled or modified once placed, so finish the cart and the code in one pass.
If your Obagi code doesn't work
- Minimum order: "42% Off $165+ Orders" needs an order of at least $165.
- Exclusions: Several products are marked 'Excluded from all Discounts' (for example the Nu-Gen Cellular Renewal Serum and Lip Therapy micro-peel).
- Combining offers: Subscribe & Save offers and the FSA/HSA offer cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.
- Region: "25% Off": discount excludes select products and bundles. Offer valid for US customers only; cannot be combined with other promotions.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at Obagi
- Subscribe & Save is the steadiest route on Obagi.com, and a new subscription currently comes with free full-size acne cleansing wipes.
- Banner gifts rotate as well, such as a free Nu-Derm Travel Duo with a qualifying order and a free sample sachet with every order.
- FSA/HSA funds cover selected sunscreens and CLENZIderm acne products, though that offer stands on its own.
- Premier Points is gone, so don't count on loyalty rewards here.
Obagi questions, answered
Does Obagi still have a loyalty program?
The Premier Points loyalty program has been discontinued, and points can no longer be redeemed. Subscribe & Save is the program still running, with pausing or cancelling allowed anytime.
Do FSA or HSA funds work at Obagi?
Selected sunscreens and CLENZIderm acne products can be bought with FSA/HSA funds. That offer can't be combined with other discounts or promotions.
How much does an Obagi return cost?
Returns are free with a prepaid UPS label, which you drop off within 7 days. The refund reaches the original payment method in 7-10 business days, but shipping fees aren't refunded.
Does Obagi ship outside the US?
Obagi ships only to US addresses and doesn't accept freight forwarders. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico orders go 2nd Day Air at a flat fee.
Can an Obagi order be changed after checkout?
Orders ship quickly and can't be cancelled or modified once placed. Check the cart, the address and any code before you submit.
