Raising Cane's is the chicken finger chain Todd Graves founded in Baton Rouge in 1996, with locations across the US.
You can eat in, pick up, or order online for pickup. Coupons are scarce here: the chain doesn't run regular ones and only occasionally sends offers to Caniac Club members.
The menu is built around a short list of combos, including The Box Combo, The Caniac Combo, The 3 Finger Combo, a sandwich combo and a kids' meal, plus Tailgates for groups and catering. Chicken fingers are battered by hand and cooked when ordered, served with fresh-squeezed lemonade or fresh-brewed tea that also comes by the jug.
The chain takes its name from Raising Cane, the founder's yellow Labrador. Graves paid for the first restaurant, near the North Gates of LSU, by working long weeks at a Los Angeles oil refinery and on commercial fishing jobs in Alaska. Raising Cane's says it backs over 30,000 local organizations, with education, hunger relief, active lifestyles, pet welfare and entrepreneurship as focus areas, and it marks National Chicken Finger Day each July 27.
