About Five Guys
Five Guys cooks burgers to order and serves them with hand-cut fries, shakes, hot dogs and sandwiches, for pickup or delivery at select locations.
Online orders at order.fiveguys.com or in the app are paid in advance. The detail that saves you money most is low-tech: extra bacon is free only when you order inside a restaurant.
Five Guys began as a family-run burger spot in Washington, DC, and has sold burgers and fries since 1986. The company, Five Guys Enterprises, LLC, now lists restaurants in regions from Canada and the United Kingdom to China, Saudi Arabia and Australia. Kitchens work largely by hand: beef is formed into patties on site, vegetables are prepped each morning, and potatoes are cut in the restaurant and fried twice in 100% refined peanut oil, with a board in every store naming the farm that supplied that day's potatoes.
Restaurants set out free peanuts while orders cook and play music from featured artists and staff playlists. Catering needs at least 15 sandwiches and 16 hours' notice, and local restaurants can host fundraisers that give 20 percent of an event's sales to the group. Branded apparel is sold through the Five Guys Shop.
