About Techable
Techable, based in the Chicago area, sells refurbished and new Macs, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch, Android phones and audio gear.
Its Lightning Deals list tech at up to 70% off, and trading in an old device through sister company SellMac adds a 10% bonus when you take eligible payouts as Techable Credit.
Techable is an Illinois company that refurbishes and resells Apple devices and other consumer electronics, with some new stock alongside. Beyond phones, computers and tablets, its catalog stretches to game consoles, vintage gadgets, e-mobility and home theater equipment.
Each refurbished unit goes through what the company calls a 34-Step Renewal, which covers testing, data wiping and a final quality review, and it ships with a 90-day warranty. SafeTech coverage of up to 2 years is an optional add-on. Techable also promises lifetime tech support from real people, runs programs for buying and selling devices in bulk, and has a Sell on Techable program for outside sellers.
How long does Techable shipping take?
FedEx or UPS carry orders processed within 48 business hours on weekdays; ground typically takes 2-5 business days and express usually 1-2.
What is Techable's return policy?
You get 30 days from delivery, but buyer's-remorse returns carry a 4% restocking fee and you pay return shipping unless there's an issue.
Does Techable have student and military discounts?
Yes. University students get a student discount, and service members request the military discount through a form on Techable's site.
What payment methods does Techable accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club work, plus PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, ACH direct debit and USDC.

How to use a Techable discount code
- Techable's store runs on Shopify, so a discount code goes in the discount box in the order summary on the checkout page.
- Students and service members should sort out eligibility first: the military discount starts with a request form on Techable's site, and the student offer is for university students.
- Check the order summary carefully before you pay.
- A cancellation costs 4% and must be requested within 12 hours of payment, so fixing a missed code afterward isn't free.
- SafeTech coverage is also chosen at this step, and it changes the total the code applies againSt.
More ways to save at Techable
- The Lightning Deals section is the place for the deepest markdowns, at up to 70% off tech.
- If you're upgrading, send the old phone or Mac to SellMac first and take the payout as Techable Credit for the 10% bonus on eligible trade-ins.
- Refurbished devices still come with a 90-day warranty, so picking refurbished over new keeps some protection.
- Bulk buying is also available for teams or schools stocking several devices.
