About 2nd Swing Golf

2nd Swing Golf, a family-owned Minnesota business founded in 1998 with seven stores in five states, sells new and used golf clubs, shafts and accessories and takes old clubs in trade.

Its promotions follow one firm rule: they cannot be combined, and club deals usually leave out new and custom-order clubs, new PING and Scotty Cameron.

2nd Swing Golf traces back to Simon Kallal, a left-handed golfer who struggled to find good used clubs and drafted a business plan in 1994 while playing golf for the University of West Georgia. After moving to the University of Minnesota, he began buying and selling clubs from a house shared with teammates, and his father Phil joined as the second employee. The company is now headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Stores operate in places such as Minneapolis, Minnetonka, Scottsdale, Dallas, Wilmington and Columbia. The catalog spans brands including TaylorMade, Titleist, Callaway, Cobra, Mizuno, Cleveland, Odyssey, PXG and Handmade Stix, with dedicated sections for left-handed and women's clubs and a hand-picked Fitters' Choice line. Services include Tour Van fittings and club customization, and the content hub The Turn adds comparison videos and a podcast.

How to use a 2nd Swing Golf coupon code

  1. Online, 2nd Swing takes promo codes at checkout; in one of its stores, the offer is shown at the counter instead.
  2. Because promotions cannot be combined, only one offer counts, and it cannot be claimed after the order is placed since nothing is applied retroactively.
  3. Club codes usually skip new and custom-order clubs, new PING and Scotty Cameron, so a cart holding a new putter from those lines may not qualify.
  4. Apparel deals carry their own carve-outs: the extra 40% on apparel and shoes excludes Puma and FootJoy.
  5. If the order later comes back, the promo savings are not refunded.

If your 2nd Swing Golf code doesn't work

  • Exclusions: Club promotions usually exclude new and custom-order clubs, new PING clubs and Scotty Cameron clubs; clearance items limited to one per SKU or model.
  • Combining offers: Promotions cannot be combined with other offers and are not applied retroactively.
  • Where to enter it: Promo codes are entered at checkout online, or the offer is shown in store.

More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.

More ways to save at 2nd Swing Golf

  • A corporate check pays less than trade credit.
  • Custom fitting is free with qualifying new-club purchases or any used club, and fittings can be done by phone.
  • Fitters' Choice clubs in brand-new condition ship free in 2 days within the contiguous 48 states.
  • Around Memorial Day, military members and veterans have received an extra 10% off used clubs.
