About Carl's Jr.
Carl's Jr.
serves charbroiled burgers, breakfast and chicken for pickup, curbside and delivery from more than 1,000 U.S. locations. The rule that shapes every discount is simple: an app or web order takes one reward or offer, applied from the Offers tab in the cart before checkout.
Carl's Jr. began in 1941, when Carl Karcher and Margaret, his wife, put their savings into a hot dog cart; the first Carl's Jr. restaurants followed in Anaheim in the 1950s. The chain says it now also operates in 28 countries, and its parent, CKE, added Hardee's to the group in 1997.
The menu is built around flame-grilled beef: the Famous Star with its signature sauce, the Western Bacon Cheeseburger (introduced in 1988), Angus Thickburgers and the newer Angus Maximus, which the company says is cooked only once an order comes in. In 2019 it partnered with Beyond Meat on the Beyond Famous Star, a plant-based burger, and it also serves burgers at breakfast, hand-scooped shakes and churro drinks.

- If you plan to pay with a gift card, order direct, since gift cards can't cover delivery-partner orders.
