About Darn Tough
Darn Tough knits merino wool socks in its own Vermont mills, with pairs for hiking, running, skiing, hunting, work, tactical and everyday wear for men, women and kids.
Before you hunt for a code, remember that every pair is unconditionally covered for life, so a pair that wears through stays covered wherever you bought it.
Alongside its merino pairs, Darn Tough also makes synthetic socks. The range comes in heights from no-show to over-the-calf and in cushioning weights from ultra-lightweight to heavyweight, with solid, striped, animal and nature designs, and a Sock Finder quiz helps match a pair to an activity. A store finder points shoppers to local retailers that stock the brand.
The company runs the Micro Crew loyalty program and giving initiatives under the Socks That Give and Knit to Give names, and its blog, The Alternate Stitch, covers durability and merino wool. Gift cards and boxed sock gift sets are sold on the site, and the UK and the EU each have their own Darn Tough storefront.
When shoppers look for Darn Tough coupons
Darn Tough coupon searches peak in December, about 2.6× a typical month, and dip lowest in September.

How to use a Darn Tough discount code
- Darn Tough runs on Shopify, so the discount box sits in the order summary on the checkout page.
- If you're claiming the military or first responder discount, start from that program's footer link before you check out to see how you qualify.
- Add another pair to cross $50 before entering a code, so free ground shipping comes along with whatever the code takes off.
- Check the total as soon as the order goes through.
- The one-hour window on the confirmation page is your only chance to cancel and reorder if the discount didn't apply.
More ways to save at Darn Tough
- The biggest saving at Darn Tough comes after the purchase.
- Returns are free for 90 days, and the lifetime promise covers pairs after that, so paying full price for a pair carries little risk.
- Join Micro Crew Rewards for the loyalty perks, and use the referral link in the footer to share the store with a friend.
- Sock gift sets make a ready-made present, and a gift card lets the person pick their own size and sport.
