About Fuego
Fuego makes dance sneakers in low-top, high-top, split-sole and wedge styles built on a patented FlowTec sole, alongside socks, apparel and accessories for men, women and kids.
The number that shapes savings is the shipping line: one pair to the U.S. costs $9.95 to ship, while a second pair or an order over $200 ships free.
Fuego was started by founder Kevin, who took up dance classes in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, after finding a Groupon deal and soon found that spinning in ordinary street sneakers was hard on his knees. Unable to find a minimalist dance sneaker he liked, he launched the brand while studying business and entrepreneurship in graduate school, aiming to bridge dance and streetwear.
The original OG Low-top was followed by Split-sole and High-top lines, and the brand has released collaborations with dancers, including ATACA x Fuego, BDash x Fuego, Jade x Fuego and Derek Hough models. Shoppers can browse by dance style, such as salsa, bachata, ballroom, jazz, hip-hop and shuffle. Fuego says its sneakers use vegan, recycled and water-resistant materials, and it also sells shoe charms, laces and insoles.
