About Ledo Pizza
Ledo Pizza bakes Maryland-style square pizza, a recipe from a chain founded in 1955, and you order it online from your nearest restaurant for pickup or delivery.
The rule that shapes your savings: My Ledo Rewards credit works on regular-priced items only, so it can't sit on top of a deal or a lunch special.
Ledo Pizza was opened by Bob Beall in Adelphi, Maryland, and soon drew a following among locals, the Washington Senators and people around the University of Maryland. The rectangular shape dates from those early days, when round pans were still new and rectangular baking pans were easy to find. Its thick pepperoni started the same practical way: cooks slicing by hand learned that thicker cuts got the job done sooner.
Each pizza is rolled to order from handmade dough and finished with a sweet sauce and smoked provolone on a thin, flaky crust. The menu also includes jumbo wings, subs and salads, and the chain recently launched three new marinara sauces. Ledo caters, hosts team parties, supports fundraisers and holds an annual charity golf classic in Maryland, and it grows through family-run franchises.
