About MattressOnline
MattressOnline is a Rotherham retailer that has sold mattresses, beds and bedding online since 2003, from brands such as Silentnight, Emma, Simba, Hypnos and TEMPUR.
Prices are in GBP and delivery stays within the UK. Before chasing a code, know that a mattress you've unpacked or slept on can't be refunded, so the 100-night Comfort Trial exchange is your fallback.
MattressOnline grew out of a 2003 partnership between Steve Adams, who brought e-commerce and logistics experience, and Steve Kelly, who knew the bed trade, after they saw catalog retailers selling mattresses remotely. Steve Adams's brother Martin built the first website, which launched in December 2003 with 5 products, including the own-brand Bodyshape range that is still stocked.
Today the shop sorts mattresses by construction, from pocket sprung and memory foam to latex, gel, natural and orthopaedic builds, and by firmness, in UK sizes from small single to superking. It also sells divan, ottoman, storage, sofa and kids' beds, plus pillows, duvets in several tog ratings, toppers, protectors and weighted and electric blankets, with buying guides and a sleep journal for help choosing.
Does MattressOnline offer free shipping?
Yes. Free next-day delivery covers most of the UK when you order before 4pm Monday-Thursday, or before 2pm Saturday for Sunday/Monday delivery, left at the main entrance.
How long does MattressOnline shipping take?
Some Scottish Highlands and island postcodes pay £40 and Northern Ireland £60, with longer lead times; Room of Your Choice delivery costs £20.
What is MattressOnline's return policy?
Tell MattressOnline in writing within 14 days, then send the sealed, unused item back within a further 14 days at your own cost, from £35 + VAT.
Does MattressOnline have a student discount?
Yes. Students get 10% off after verifying with Student Beans; graduates verify through GraduateBeans.
What payment methods does MattressOnline accept?

How does the MattressOnline 100-night Comfort Trial work?
Standalone mattresses can be exchanged once after at least 30 nights and up to 100 nights, for a £49 delivery fee. It's an exchange rather than a refund, and up to £100 of price difference comes back as site credit.
Can a mattress be returned to MattressOnline for a refund?
Only if it's still sealed and unused: notify the store in writing within 14 days, then return it within a further 14 days and pay the transport, from £35 + VAT. Refunds arrive 3-5 days after the goods are checked, minus transport costs.
Does MattressOnline deliver to Northern Ireland?
Northern Ireland orders are delivered for £60, with longer lead times than mainland UK. The Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands are outside the delivery area.
Will MattressOnline take away an old mattress?
An old mattress of the same size or smaller can be collected and recycled on delivery for £35.
What happens if a MattressOnline price drops after ordering?
A price drop before your item is dispatched gets the difference refunded. Once the order has left the warehouse, that refund no longer applies.
