About M.J. Bale
M.J.
Bale is an Australian-owned menswear brand founded in 2009, selling suits, tuxedos, shirts, blazers, knitwear, chinos and accessories, mostly in natural fibres, through around 90 stores and online. Prices are in AUD. The rule that shapes saving here: promotions can't be combined with any other discount, so pick the one offer worth most on your order.
Founder Matt Jensen, the son of an Australian woolgrower and the "M.J." in the name, started the label to shorten the path from farm gate to shop floor. Its wool comes from conservation-minded growers in Tasmania and the Southern Alps of New Zealand, with tailoring done in Hokkaido, Japan, and weaving in Biella, Italy. The brand says 96% of its collections use natural fibres such as cotton, wool, silk and linen.
M.J. Bale became a certified B Corp in April 2024 and, for its Kingston and Lake Hāwea Station lines, returns part of each sale to the farms that grew the wool. Its international flagship sits on Jermyn Street in London. It serves as official tailor to several Australian national sports teams, offers made-to-measure suits and wedding fittings, and publishes style guides through The Manual.
