About Octopied Mind

Octopied Mind is an Indigenous-founded, women-led Canadian brand selling art-driven tops, sweaters, bottoms, stickers, mugs and blankets in sizes XS to 6X, made with partners in Canada and China.

Its products are sold online only at octopiedmind.com, and Canadian orders ship free from CA$200.

Octopied Mind was started by Jill and Sarah, childhood best friends from New Brunswick. The label began at an Ottawa market with a small run of shirts that Jill screen-printed by hand in Dartmouth, and it was built without loans, grants or outside investors. Its designs are hand-drawn and lean on dark humor, mental health themes and frank honesty, with seasonal drops such as the Witches Brew collection.

Alongside apparel and matching sets, the shop carries headwear, candles, art prints and bags. The brand describes itself as queer-run as well as Indigenous-founded, and says it produces in small, limited batches with manufacturing partners in Canada and China, repurposing or donating pieces that miss its standards instead of throwing them away.

Does Octopied Mind offer free shipping?

Yes. Below CA$200 a flat CA$14.00 applies, with no duties and domestic transit from the Brampton, Ontario warehouse usually taking 2-7 business days. (read Sep 29, 2026)

What is Octopied Mind's return policy?

Unworn, unwashed items with tags qualify, counted from delivery; an older returns-portal page still shows a shorter window.

How to use a Octopied Mind discount code

  1. Octopied Mind's store is built on Shopify, so the discount box is on the checkout page's order summary, the platform's standard layout.
  2. Add the code before you pay, because discounts aren't applied retroactively to an order already placed.
  3. A code on a mystery bag or a defect item buys a final-sale piece, so the saving comes with no way back.
  4. On returnable clothing, remember the label cost comes out of the refund and exchanges aren't offered, so check the size before ordering.
  5. Klarna is the only payment option the store names.

More ways to save at Octopied Mind

  • Hitting CA$200 in one order skips the CA$14.00 shipping charge, which adds up on a single sticker or mug.
  • The shipping policy notes that free-shipping offers vary by location and can be paused, so check the header banner on the day.
  • A sold-out favorite doesn't need a pricier substitute: popular styles are restocked every 1-3 months, and the newsletter announces when.
  • Gift cards never expire, which makes them a safe present for someone still picking a size.

Octopied Mind questions, answered

Can an Octopied Mind mystery bag be returned?

Mystery bags are final sale, like defect items, samples and gift cards, so they can't come back.

Does Octopied Mind exchange sizes?

Exchanges aren't offered. An item can be returned for a refund, minus the label cost, and the right size ordered separately.

Do Octopied Mind gift cards expire?

Digital gift cards carry no fees and no expiration date. They're issued in CAD, with the USD price adjusted.

How often do sold-out styles come back?

Popular styles are restocked every 1-3 months, and the newsletter announces each restock.
