About Petmate
Petmate makes dog and cat gear, from kennels, crates and carriers to beds, bowls, food storage, toys and treats, under brands such as Chuckit!, Vittles Vault and Quirky Kitty, with some kennels made in the USA.
The rule that matters most is that only one promo code fits on an order, so the 15% first-order code and the SheerID codes cannot be combined.
Petmate has been making pet products for over 60 years and frames its work around strengthening the bond between people and their animals. Alongside its better-known labels, the catalog includes the Wild Eats brand, and the Chuckit! line covers fetch gear such as the Cannon ball launcher and Ultra Balls, while the Pet Porter is its all-purpose kennel for travel.
Shopping is split into dog and cat sections that also cover grooming supplies, waste and litter management, training gear, collars and leashes, and cat scratchers. A dedicated replacement-parts section stocks kennel doors and hardware for gear already owned, the site runs a pet-care blog with guides such as a cat carrier size guide, and businesses can apply for a wholesale account.
When shoppers look for Petmate coupons
Petmate coupon searches peak in October, about 2.6× a typical month, and dip lowest in April.
Does Petmate offer free shipping?
Yes. Most orders over $49 ship free by FedEx Ground in the 48 contiguous states; discounts and tax do not count toward that total.
How long does Petmate shipping take?
Only the 48 contiguous states and DC are served, with no P.O. boxes and no shipping to Canada.
What is Petmate's return policy?
Items sent back within 30 days of delivery with the original receipt are refunded to the original payment method.
Does Petmate offer a military discount?
Yes. SheerID-verified shoppers get a one-time code for 20% off qualifying full-priced products, online only.

How to use a Petmate promo code
- Petmate's checkout page has a promo code box, and the code must go in and be applied before the order is submitted, because nothing can be added to an order afterwards.
- Newcomers should join through the site banner first to receive the 15% first-order code.
- Military members, first responders and medical professionals verify with SheerID for a one-time 20% code that works online only and on full-price items, not markdowns, shipping, taxes or earlier purchases.
- Only one promo code is accepted per order, so pick whichever saves more on the cart.
- The $49 free-shipping threshold is measured without discounts and tax, so a code can push a cart back under it.
If your Petmate code doesn't work
- Minimum order: "15% Off $60+ Orders on Full-Price Items" needs an order of at least $60.
- Exclusions: The military, first responder and medical discount applies to full-price items only, not markdowns, shipping, taxes or prior purchases.
- One code per order: Only one promo code per order; codes cannot be stacked or combined.
- New customers only: 15% off a first order (join via the sign-up link in the site banner) does not apply to repeat orders.
- End date: "15% Off $60+ Orders on Full-Price Items" ends Nov 9, 2026.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at Petmate
- Subscribe & Save takes 10% off every recurring order, which suits treats and other items bought on a schedule.
- Replacement parts are sold for Petmate products customers already own, so a missing or broken part can be replaced instead of the whole kennel or carrier.
- Select products carry a warranty listed on the product page, valid only for purchases from Petmate or authorized dealers.
- Orders received by 11:00 AM CST ship the next business day, with no processing on weekends or holidays.
Petmate questions, answered
Does Petmate have a first-order promo code?
Joining through the sign-up link in the site banner brings 15% off a first order. Only one promo code works per order, so the welcome code cannot be stacked with another.
Who can get Petmate's 20% discount?
Military members, first responders and medical professionals who verify with SheerID receive a one-time code for 20% off qualifying full-priced products. It works online only and does not cover markdowns, shipping, taxes or prior purchases.
How much does Subscribe & Save take off?
Petmate's Subscribe & Save program takes 10% off every recurring order.
Does Petmate ship to Canada?
Shipping covers only the 48 contiguous states and DC, and Canada is not served. P.O. boxes are excluded, and delivery to military addresses can take up to 24 days.
What happens if a Petmate order arrives damaged?
Damaged or defective items can be replaced or credited within 30 days of purchase. Other returns with the original receipt are refunded to the original payment method.
