About PetSmart
PetSmart stocks food, treats, toys and supplies for dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles and small pets, and its stores add grooming, boarding, day camp, training and vet care.
Most savings here route through the free Treats Rewards account, and even the $49 free-shipping threshold applies only when you're signed in as a member.
PetSmart's range goes past dogs and cats to farm and backyard animals and wild birds, and the site has its own pharmacy section. Food brands on its home page include Purina, Hill's Science Diet, BLUE Buffalo, Open Farm, Fancy Feast, Authority and Simply Nourish. Aquarium setups, bird cages, cat litter, pet beds and Halloween costumes for pets are stocked too.
Overnight boarding is sold under the PetsHotel name, and Doggie Day Camp covers daytime care. The company also offers pet insurance, a Learning Center and an app for shopping and booking services. Autoship sets up repeat deliveries of regular buys, and the footer links to PetSmart Charities.

When shoppers look for PetSmart coupons
PetSmart coupon searches stay fairly even all year: October leads, February trails.
Does PetSmart offer free shipping?
Yes. Signed-in Treats Rewards members ship free at $49, counted after discounts, to the contiguous 48 states and APO/FPO. Live pets and fresh or frozen food don't qualify.
What is PetSmart's return policy?
Receipted returns run 60 days, and online orders go back free at any PetSmart store. Mail returns lose a shipping fee and can't be swapped for an exchange.
Does PetSmart offer a military discount?
Yes. Military members and seniors get 10% off grooming salon services only, and the salon page lists it for Tuesdays.
More about shopping at PetSmart
- Treats Rewards
- Every $1 spent on merchandise and services earns 10 points, and 1,000 points come off as $2. Bestie and VIPP tiers pile on bonus points.
- Autoship
- The first Autoship order takes 35% off, capped at $20, and each recurring delivery after that is 5% off.
- Strikethrough prices
- A crossed-out figure may be MSRP, the 90-day median PetSmart.com price or the non-member store price, so the real saving varies.
- Pickup
- Free store pickup is ready in two hours or less, and curbside orders must be collected two hours before closing.

How to use a PetSmart coupon
- PetSmart takes promo codes at checkout, but sign in to Treats Rewards before you get there.
- The $49 free-shipping total is measured after discounts, so a 20% code can drop a cart that sat just over $49 back under the line.
- Percentage and dollar-off offers may not combine with other promotions, so compare a code against any running deal before picking one.
- Buy/Get discounts land on the lowest-priced items, which matters in a mixed cart of food and toys.
- If you later return something bought partly with points, the redeemed points are forfeited.
More ways to save at PetSmart
- Autoship suits food you reorder anyway: 35% off the first delivery, up to $20, then 5% off every repeat.
- The Fall Deals Event runs through Oct 12, 2026 and pays 20% back in points on thousands of items.
- Treats Rewards members also get a birthday gift and members-only store pricing.
- Gift givers can send a PetSmart eGift card by email or ship a physical card, and bulk orders are available.
PetSmart questions, answered
Will PetSmart match a lower price from another store?
PetSmart matches identical, in-stock items that a pet, grocery, pharmacy or big-box seller prices lower, in store or on its official site, when you bring proof. Marketplace and auction listings, clearance, rebates, BOGO offers, pets and services are left out.
How do Treats Rewards points turn into money off?
Each $1 spent earns 10 points, and every 1,000 points is worth $2 off. Points redeemed on an item you return are forfeited, and points earned on it are deducted.
Can you combine two PetSmart promotions on one order?
Percentage-off and dollar-off offers at PetSmart may not combine with other promotions. On Buy/Get deals, the discount lands on the lowest-priced items in your cart.
What does Autoship take off a first PetSmart order?
Your first Autoship order gets 35% off, capped at $20, and the deliveries that follow on your schedule get 5% off.
Can PetSmart gift cards be sent by email?
Digital eGift cards go out by email, physical cards ship to the address you give, and bulk orders are possible too.
