About PODS

PODS rents portable moving and storage containers in 8', 12' and 16' sizes, drops them at your door, and handles local or long-distance moves and storage at PODS Storage Centers.

Prices are quoted per customer, so any discount you get is applied to your own quote rather than a posted rate.

PODS Enterprises LLC says it pioneered portable storage in 1998, and it now serves homes and businesses in the US, Canada and the UK. The containers have steel frames, sit at ground level so there is no ramp to climb, carry tie-down rings for strapping loads, and are locked by the customer alone. Load limits fall as size grows: 5,200 lbs for the 8', 4,700 lbs for the 12' and 4,200 lbs for the 16'.

Around the containers, PODS offers PODS City Service, packing supplies, referrals to local loading help, military moves and car shipping through partners, since vehicles can't travel inside a container. Stored containers can be visited at a Storage Center with 24-48 hours' notice.
