About Primary
Primary makes slogan-free, logo-free basics for babies and kids in solid rainbow colors, covering 0-24 months and 2-14 years, plus a few adult styles and holiday pajamas.
The New York company was founded in 2015 and sells only through its own website. Its return terms are generous, with 90 days and even sale items accepted back.
Run by Primary Kids, Inc., the brand designs its clothes for children rather than for boys or girls, and its pieces are meant to be mixed and matched across one color palette. Shoppers can browse by color family, from yellows, oranges and reds through pinks, purples, blues, greens and neutrals, alongside seasonal additions such as new fall colors.
Current collections include puffers, a Sesame Street range and Halloween pieces that skip the usual slogans. The site publishes pages on its GOTS certification, its approach to gender-neutral design and its sustainability work, and it also runs a refer-a-friend program and a wholesale channel.

When shoppers look for Primary coupons
Primary coupon searches peak in November, about 1.6× a typical month, and dip lowest in April.

How long does Primary shipping take?
Express costs $15 for 2-4 business days, 2-Day $25 and Overnight $30, and orders in by 1pm ET on business days ship the same day.
What is Primary's return policy?
Primary gives 90 days for unworn, unwashed items, sale pieces included, and refunds reach the original payment method in about 2-3 weeks.

How to use a Primary coupon
- Primary is built on Shopify, so the discount box shows up in the order summary on the checkout page.
- Some promotions cover only select items and may not combine with other offers, so check which pieces a code touches before you fill the cart.
- The $75 free-shipping line is measured after discounts, so a code can drop a cart back under it and add $9.50.
- If you spot a mistake after paying, you have 30 minutes to cancel before processing starts.
If your Primary code doesn't work
- Minimum order: "20% Off $95+ Orders" needs an order of at least $95.
- Combining offers: Some promotions apply only to select items and may not be combined with other offers.
- New customers only: "25% Off Your First Purchase" is for a first order.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at Primary
- Primary's biggest event on record is the Friends & Family sale, 30% off everything, seen in October.
- The referral program reads "Give a friend a free footie, get 25%", though its full terms weren't readable.
- Gift cards are listed in the site footer.
- Free exchanges make swapping a size cheaper than returning and reordering, since a refund costs $5 per order.
