About Ruffwear
Ruffwear makes performance dog gear designed and tested in Bend, Oregon, from harnesses, leashes and boots to packs, life jackets and beds, plus a used-gear line called RuffWorn.
The steadiest saving is Pack Perks, a free account that pays 10% store credit on every order once you pass $150 in qualifying spend.
Ruffwear organizes its range by activity as well as by product type, with gear picked for camping, backpacking, hiking, water outings, running, biking, climbing and skiing. Its cold-weather line adds insulated and fleece vests with a harness built in, waterproof coats and coveralls, winter boots and reflective high-visibility layers, and the shop has dedicated sections for working dogs and small dogs. One unusual item is the BackTrak evacuation kit, which pairs a first-aid muzzle with a vest the owner wears and a sling for carrying a dog out in an emergency far from help.
By its own count the company has been at it for 31 years. Its site also covers fitting guides, stories on gear design and sustainability, a dog adoption program, an ambassador team and a locator for retail partners.
When shoppers look for Ruffwear coupons
Ruffwear coupon searches peak in December, about 1.5× a typical month, and dip lowest in April.
How long does Ruffwear shipping take?
Orders placed before 10 a.m. PT leave the same business day, while used gear can take up to 3 business days.
What is Ruffwear's return policy?
Unused, unaltered, unwashed gear in its original packaging gets a full refund within 30 days, with free US return and exchange shipping (exclusions apply).

How to use a Ruffwear discount code
- On Ruffwear's Shopify checkout, any code goes in the discount box within the order summary.
- Before you add one, look at the current free-bowl deal: orders over $74.95 get a free Blue Spring Bivy Bowl.
- That bowl can't be combined with Pro Purchase or any other offer, so a vet or trainer with Pro Purchase access should compare the two firSt. Select gear is marked down by up to 30%, but Pack Perks credit can't be spent on sale or discounted items.
- Double-check sizes before paying, because an order can't be changed or cancelled once it reaches the fulfillment center.
More ways to save at Ruffwear
- Pack Perks pays off for repeat buyers of harnesses and boots.
- Once you cross $150 in qualifying spend, every order returns 10% as store credit, though that credit expires after 1 year.
- Referring a friend adds $10 for each of you.
- RuffWorn used gear costs less to start with, but it's non-returnable, and Pack Perks credit can't be used on it.
- Gift buyers can send a ruffwear.com e-gift card instead of guessing a dog's size.
