About SCHEELS
SCHEELS is an employee-owned sporting goods chain with 30+ US stores, selling hunting, fishing, fitness, running and team-sports gear plus clothing and footwear online.
The retailer says it has no active promo codes at the moment, so its price match, the military discount and fall events like the Hunt Sale Event carry the savings instead.
SCHEELS traces its roots to three acres of potatoes and now describes itself as the largest all-sports retailer in the world. Its stores double as attractions, with aquariums, arcade games and a Ferris wheel, and staff are organized by department so shoppers can get advice from associates who know those products. The company says it has been named among America's top workplaces, and its employees log thousands of volunteer hours a year.
On the hunting side, the range covers optics, archery, calls, decoys, trail cameras, treestands, blinds and knives. Other departments include NFL and NCAA fan gear, hockey, basketball and wrestling, a Run Shop, nutrition and recovery products, a seasonal Toyland and a style section with denim, sweaters and clogs. Service shops, a MySCHEELS registry and wishlist, and expert articles round out the offer.

When shoppers look for SCHEELS coupons
SCHEELS coupon searches peak in December, about 2× a typical month, and dip lowest in February.
Does SCHEELS offer free shipping?
Yes. Standard shipping is free on orders of $75 or more; Same Day, Expedited, Express and Alaska & Hawaii orders don't qualify, and item surcharges still apply.
How long does SCHEELS shipping take?
Under $75, standard costs $9.99 for 2-5 business days; Expedited is $19.99 for 2-3 days and Express $29.99 for 1-2 days.
What is SCHEELS' return policy?
You get 90 days from purchase, using a free prepaid mail-in label or any SCHEELS store, with items in original packaging and condition.
Does SCHEELS offer a military discount?
Yes. Service members verified through ID.me get 5% off, though not on gift cards or fishing licenses.
Does SCHEELS price match?
A lower in-stock price on the identical item from an authorized retailer gets matched, competitor shipping included, by chat in a MySCHEELS account.
More about shopping at SCHEELS
- Pickup and same day
- Store pickup is free, and DoorDash brings orders from participating stores within 20 miles for a flat $14.99.
- Non-returnable
- Gift cards, firearms, bows, ammunition and trading cards can't come back, and refunds leave out shipping fees, package protection and surcharges.
- Vortex for first responders
- The 40% off MSRP applies only to Vortex products, through the Vortex Discount Program, not storewide.
- Delivery area
- SCHEELS ships orders only to addresses within the United States, with no international delivery.

How to use a SCHEELS promo code
- SCHEELS currently says it has no active promo codes, so a code found elsewhere is unlikely to change the price.
- The real choices happen before you pay.
- The military discount needs ID.me verification first, and it can't be combined with other offers or with a price match.
- On a single item, that means picking either 5% off or a matched competitor price.
- Price match requests go through chat inside a MySCHEELS account, and SCHEELS turns away autographed, used, open-box, display and purchase-limited items.
- Gift cards and fishing licenses never take the military discount, so leave them out of that calculation.
More ways to save at SCHEELS
- The Hunt Sale Event is a fall promotion, and it was running in October 2026 with markdowns on hunting clothing, footwear and game calls.
- Free Shipping Days show up occasionally through the year and are announced by email, which makes the mailing list useful before a big order.
- SCHEELS Visa cardmembers earn points on purchases, with limited-time extra points on some brands.
- Gift cards from $1 to $1,000 are sold online, in the app and in store, and bulk orders are available.
- Scheels Outfitters fishing rods carry a 3-year warranty against workmanship, materials and breakage.
SCHEELS questions, answered
Does SCHEELS have promo codes right now?
SCHEELS says it has no active promo codes at the moment. Savings come from events such as the Hunt Sale Event, the military discount and price matching.
Will SCHEELS match a lower price from another store?
SCHEELS matches a lower price on the same brand, model, size and color from an authorized retailer when both sites have it in stock, counting the competitor's shipping. Requests go through chat in a MySCHEELS account.
How much does SCHEELS charge for shipping?
Standard shipping costs $9.99 on orders under $75 and is free above that. Expedited runs $19.99 and Express $29.99, and store pickup costs nothing.
Can you buy a SCHEELS gift card online?
Physical and e-gift cards are sold online, in the app and in store, in amounts from $1 to $1,000. Bulk gift card orders are available too.
