About Schoolhouse

Schoolhouse sells lighting, cabinet and wall hardware, furniture, bedding, bath, rugs and home decor, and the brand founded in 2003 has been part of Hudson Valley Lighting Group since 2026.

Schoolhouse traces its start to a find of old lighting molds in an upstate New York factory, which led it to rework traditional forms with simple materials. It calls its pieces modern heirlooms, meant to be used every day and handed down. Lighting is still at its core, from hand-finished sconces to table lamps, but the line also covers drawer pulls, knobs and wall hooks, bar carts and storage furniture.
