About Selk'bag
Selk'bag makes wearable sleeping bags, the SWYTCH Lite, Original and Pro, plus slippers, fanny packs, towels and blankets from post-consumer recycled materials, a line that began in Chile.
The figure that shapes most purchases is $99: orders at or above it, counted before tax, ship free by ground to the continental U.S. and Alaska.
Selk'bag's idea came from a camping trip in the Chilean Andes, when the founders found standard mummy bags too restrictive and set out to make a sleeping bag shaped like a person. Its staff, by the company's own account, is a small group of climbers, surfers and hikers.
SWYTCH models have full arms and legs, a kangaroo-style front pocket, removable built-in booties and a mid-body zipper that turns the top half into a jacket. Current versions are PFAS-free, machine washable and temperature-rated to ISO 23537. Selk'bag says its bags and blanket have been made with 100% recycled post-consumer material since 2022; it joined 1% for the Planet in August 2020 and became a Climate Action Corps member in May 2021. Accessories include compression sacks and leg extenders.
When shoppers look for Selk'bag coupons
Selk'bag coupon searches peak in December, about 2.3× a typical month, and dip lowest in March.
Does Selk'bag offer free shipping?
Yes. Orders of $99+ before tax ship free to the continental U.S. and Alaska; below that, rates tier by order total.
How long does Selk'bag shipping take?
2-day shipping in the lower 48 starts at $35 and overnight at $50; weekday orders placed by 4 PM EST ship the same day.
What is Selk'bag's return policy?
30 days from delivery; a refund to the card loses $12.95, while store credit brings a free prepaid label and exchanges cost nothing.
Does Selk'bag offer a military discount?
Yes. A military discount is verified through GovX, and a first-responder discount is also listed; neither amount is published.

How to use a Selk'bag promo code
- Selk'bag's store runs on Shopify, so the discount box is on the checkout page's order summary.
- Service members verify through GovX for the military discount rather than typing a public code, so that step comes before checkout.
- Watch the $99 line when a code shrinks the total, since it is measured before tax.
- A discount on a final-sale or closeout piece has a cost of its own: those items cannot be returned.
- Where the bag was bought matters too, because items not purchased on selkbagusa.com are not returnable there, and neither are orders shipped outside the U.S. and Canada.
If your Selk'bag code doesn't work
- Exclusions: Final-sale and closeout items are excluded from returns; sale items otherwise follow the normal policy.
- End date: "$140 Off Selk'bag Lite – Now $159 for VIPs" ends Nov 27, 2026; "Save $130 on Selk'bag Original – Now $169 with VIP Access" ends Nov 27, 2026.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at Selk'bag
- Choosing store credit instead of a refund avoids the $12.95 return and restocking fee and comes with a free prepaid label.
- Exchanges are free, so swapping one SWYTCH model for another costs nothing.
- Military members verify with GovX ID for their discount, and first responders have a discount of their own listed on the site.
- Canadian buyers get free shipping over $159 CAD from local stock, and PO boxes are served via USPS.
Selk'bag questions, answered
What does it cost to return a Selk'bag for a refund?
A refund to the original payment method has $12.95 deducted for return shipping and restocking. Picking store credit instead brings a free prepaid label and no fee.
How fast does Selk'bag ship?
Orders placed by 4 PM EST Monday to Friday leave the Southern California warehouse the same day. West Coast delivery takes about 1-3 days, and the Midwest or East Coast 4-5 business days.
Does Selk'bag ship to Canada?
Canadian orders ship from local stock, with free shipping over $159 CAD. Orders shipped outside the U.S. and Canada cannot be returned.
Can a Selk'bag wearable sleeping bag go in the washing machine?
Current SWYTCH models are machine washable and PFAS-free, with temperature ratings tested to ISO 23537.
Can a Selk'bag bought from another retailer be returned to the brand?
Items not bought on selkbagusa.com cannot be returned through the brand. Final-sale and closeout items are excluded as well.
