About Varley

Varley, founded by Lara and Ben Mead in 2014, makes contemporary women's knitwear, outerwear, everyday staples and activewear, with footwear and accessories alongside.

Mainland US orders ship free over $100, and the 10% newsletter offer and the 15% GovX discount are the two standing ways to pay less.

Varley calls itself a contemporary lifestyle brand for women. Its co-founders first met in 2010 as they prepared for the London Marathon. Today the family-run company sells internationally through more than 1,000 points of sale, with offices in London, New York and Los Angeles. Its team, split between the UK and the US, is 90% female, and the brand presents itself as made by women for women.

Collections include the soft-touch DoubleSoft line, the mountain-ready Alpine collection with baselayers and boots, the Club collection, and a Travel Edit. The range also covers sherpa and fleece, rain jackets, quilted gilets, skorts, swimwear and leather bags. Varley's flagship US store opened in SoHo, New York, in October 2024, and the brand partners with Look Good Feel Better.

When shoppers look for Varley coupons

Varley coupon searches peak in December, about 1.6× a typical month, and dip lowest in July.

US Google searches, Oct 2025 to Sep 2026. Search interest, not sales.

Does Varley offer free shipping?

Yes. UPS delivery to the mainland US costs $6 under $100 and usually arrives within 5 business days; PO boxes aren't accepted.

How long does Varley shipping take?

2-day express costs $18 and next working day costs $40, and Alaska and Hawaii orders are $40.

What is Varley's return policy?

You have 30 days from the ship date for free prepaid mainland US returns or exchanges, with pieces unworn, unwashed and tagged.

How to use a Varley promo code

  1. Varley runs on Shopify, so the discount box sits on the checkout page's order summary.
  2. The 10% first-order offer comes with subscribing to the email newsletter, so sign up before you start checkout.
  3. Military members, first responders, government staff and teachers get 15% off once GovX confirms their ID and issues a code.
  4. Check whether the $100 free-shipping line still applies after the discount comes off, since a $6 shipping charge eats into a small saving.
  5. Parcels that go missing must be reported within 7 calendar days of the delivery notice.

More ways to save at Varley

  • The GovX discount of 15% beats the 10% newsletter offer if you qualify as military, a first responder, government staff or a teacher.
  • A student discount page and a refer-a-friend page also live on varley.com; check each for current terms.
  • Free prepaid exchanges in the mainland US mean swapping a size costs nothing.
  • E-gift cards from $50 to $500 don't expire, so a gift recipient can wait for the right piece.
