Vision Express is a UK optician chain selling prescription glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses and smart eyewear such as Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta, online and in its stores, alongside eye tests.
Weigh its standing 50% off a second pair before any code, because student codes can't be combined with other offers.
Vision Express pairs its online shop with optician stores across the UK, where adults and children can book eye tests, including advanced tests with an OCT 3D eye scan and NHS-funded tests for those who qualify. Contact lens wearers can get a free assessment and trial, check-ups in store or by video, and a lens subscription that includes delivery and check-ups.
Alongside designer frames, the chain stocks its own exclusive frame lines and Nuance Audio hearing glasses, and its site offers virtual try-on plus face-shape and lens buying guides. Every pair of glasses or sunglasses bought there can be serviced in store free for as long as the customer owns it, which covers adjustments, new nose pads and screws, and a clean. Shoppers in the Republic of Ireland are served by a separate site, visionexpress.ie.
Does Vision Express offer free shipping?
Yes. UK online orders over £35 ship free, and anything under that threshold costs £3 to deliver.
How long does Vision Express shipping take?
Prescription glasses take 3-5 working days, or 7-10 with lens add-ons, and non-prescription items ordered before 6pm Monday to Friday arrive next day.
What is Vision Express' return policy?
Free returns run for 100 days from purchase, for an exchange or a refund to your original payment method.
Does Vision Express have a student discount?
Yes. Students get 20% off prescription eyewear in store with a valid ID, while online rates come through UNiDAYS and Student Beans.
What payment methods does Vision Express accept?
Spread the cost with Klarna Pay in 3, or push payment back with Klarna Pay in 30 days.
More about shopping at Vision Express
Online returns
Online orders go back through the online returns process rather than a store, can't be exchanged, and contact lenses must be unopened.

Blue Light Card holders will find a key workers discount in the Vision Express offers menu.
UK only
Vision Express ships across the UK, and Republic of Ireland customers order from visionexpress.ie instead.
From Vision Express's own pages, read Oct 31, 2026.
At Vision Express the code goes in at checkout, and the discount then shows on the basket total.
The email sign-up offer gives £10 off orders of £100+, so it suits a prescription pair better than a single box of lenses.
Student codes can't be combined with other offers or codes, such as outlet or sale prices.
In store, though, the student discount does work with the 50% off second pair offer.
If you qualify for the student rate, an in-store visit may beat buying online, since the 20% there pairs with the half-price second pair.
If your Vision Express code doesn't work
Combining offers: Student codes can't be combined with other offers or codes (such as outlet or sale); in store, the student discount can be used with the 50% off second pair offer.
