About Angling Direct
Angling Direct sells fishing tackle and bait for carp, coarse and match, sea, fly and predator anglers, both online and through its UK stores.
Promotions don't combine here, so your basket gets the highest single discount that applies, and Black Ticket Event deals stand apart from every other code.
Angling Direct traces its roots to Martyn Page, a keen angler who was unhappy with the service and range at his local tackle shop. He opened his first store in 1986, later bought several Norfolk shops and merged them into a superstore in Norwich, and the company was incorporated on 11 June 2004. It now runs over 40 tackle shops around the UK and 5 websites, with sites for France, Germany and the Netherlands served by a European distribution center in Venlo that opened in March 2022.
Many of its shops have areas for trying out poles, bivvies, umbrellas and bedchairs, plus a Catchers Corner where anglers can sit with a coffee and swap notes on local venues. The company sums up its aim as Getting Everyone Fishing and caters to everyone from beginners and weekend anglers to match and syndicate fishers.

How to use a Angling Direct discount code
- Angling Direct takes codes on the Shopping Basket page, in the discount area at the bottom, before you reach payment.
- Gift cards don't go in that box; you add them under payment information later.
- Only one promotion counts per order, because discounts and offers can't be combined and the highest applicable one wins.
- During the Black Ticket Event those deals can't be used with any other promotion or code, so a saved code won't add anything on top of a Black Friday price.
- Angling Direct releases its genuine codes by email and on its social media, so its own newsletter is the dependable source.
More ways to save at Angling Direct
- MyAD membership is free and brings member deals all year plus early access to promotions.
- The paid MyAD+ upgrade costs £9.99 a year and makes Priority Delivery free on every order over £25, which suits anglers who place several orders a year.
- The Black Ticket Event is the Black Friday sale and was live on Oct 31, 2026, and the sale calendar also lists Cyber Monday in late November.
- Gift cards from £10 to £1000 work online or in store and stay valid for 24 months.
