About Banana Republic
Banana Republic sells cashmere, suiting, denim and petite and tall sizes for women and men, plus shoes, accessories and home bedding.
The rule that shapes your total is Encore membership: free shipping starts at $50 only for members, and non-members pay for delivery on every order, whatever its size.
Banana Republic is part of the Gap Inc. family, which also includes Gap, Old Navy and Athleta. Its women's and men's ranges run from dresses, blazers and matching sets to dress shirts, chinos and ties, with jewelry, bags, belts, scarves and sunglasses on the accessories side.
The brand organizes much of its line into themed edits, such as The Cashmere Shop, The Party Edit, The Work Edit and a seasonal lookbook. Its Archive Reissue collection brings back earlier designs, including a release made with The Explorers Club. Shoppers can also book personal styling services at selected locations, buy online and pick up in a store, or browse the separate Banana Republic Factory outlet line.
When shoppers look for Banana Republic coupons
Banana Republic coupon searches peak in November, about 1.7× a typical month, and dip lowest in February.
Does Banana Republic offer free shipping?
Yes. Encore members get free Basic shipping from $50, and All-Access cardmembers with a Gap Inc. credit card qualify from $35.
How long does Banana Republic shipping take?
Non-members pay $7.50 for Basic (5-8 business days) or $9.50 for Standard (2-5); Express is $18 and Priority $25, continental US only.
What is Banana Republic's return policy?
Online orders get 30 days from delivery; store returns and exchanges are free, while mail returns cost non-members $6.

How to use a Banana Republic promo code
- The 15% text offer is the first code most Banana Republic shoppers can get.
- Sign up for Banana Republic texts before you check out, and the code arrives by SMS for your first purchase.
- If you plan to open an Encore Credit Card, its extra 25% off also applies to a first purchase, so it makes sense to save a bigger cashmere or suiting order for that moment.
- Nothing on the store's pages says whether the text code and the card discount combine, so check the order total before you pay.
- Pieces bought through third-party websites follow those sites' return rules, so a code used there won't come with Banana Republic's return terms.
If your Banana Republic code doesn't work
- New customers only: 15% off a first order (sign up for Banana Republic texts) does not apply to repeat orders.
- End date: "20% Off Storewide with Banana Republic Rewards Credit Card" ends Nov 17, 2026; "20% Off Entire Order" ends Nov 17, 2026.
More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.
More ways to save at Banana Republic
- Joining Encore is the cheapest fix for delivery fees.
- Members get free Basic shipping at $50 and free mail returns, and Premier members get Standard shipping free too.
- If you shop often, All-Access with a Gap Inc. credit card lowers the free-shipping line to $35.
- Store returns cost nothing for anyone, so a nearby shop saves the $6 mail fee when you aren't a member.
- Items sold and shipped by third-party sellers on the site ship free.
Banana Republic questions, answered
How much is Banana Republic shipping without Encore?
Non-members pay $7.50 for Basic or $9.50 for Standard on every order, whatever the total. Basic and Standard reach all states, PO boxes, US territories and APO/FPO addresses.
Is there a Banana Republic discount for signing up for texts?
Signing up for Banana Republic texts gives 15% off your first purchase. The offer comes through SMS rather than email.
Do Banana Republic mail returns cost anything?
Mail returns are free for Encore members and cost non-members $6, using a prepaid label or a drop-off QR code. Returning in store costs nothing.
What does the Encore Credit Card add?
New Encore Credit Card holders get an extra 25% off their first purchase. All-Access cardmembers with a Gap Inc. credit card also get free shipping from $35.
