About Nuuly

Nuuly is a clothing rental subscription, not a shop: each month you rent six items from 30,000+ styles and 400+ brands, in sizes 00-40.

There's one plan at $98 a month. The saving that matters most is the $28 off your first month, which brings that opening box down to $70.

Nuuly belongs to URBN, the group that also owns Free People, Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters, and its rental closet includes pieces from those labels next to independent and emerging designers. The assortment spans party dresses, workwear, premium jeans and unique vintage finds, with edits for occasions such as weddings and the fall season, plus Nuuly Exclusives.

Laundry and dry cleaning are handled by Nuuly, and the service charges no late or damage fees. Members can pause or cancel whenever they like. Beyond renting, members get access to The Thrift Shop, where heavily discounted items are sold, and an app for saving favorites and managing the subscription. Nuuly also has a student discount and a community called The Cluub.

When shoppers look for Nuuly coupons

Nuuly coupon searches stay fairly even all year: March leads, January trails.

US Google searches, Oct 2025 to Sep 2026. Search interest, not sales.

How long does Nuuly shipping take?

Shipping, late fees and damage fees are built into the monthly price, so sales tax is the only extra on your bill.

What payment methods does Nuuly accept?

Debit cards, credit cards and Nuuly gift cards all pay the subscription; gift-card payments are refunded to a gift card.

How to use a Nuuly promo code

  1. Nuuly's first-month offer is for new subscribers, so it belongs to sign-up, before your first rental box is picked.
  2. It takes $28 off and sets that month at $70.
  3. The plan price itself is $98 a month, so the code saves you money once, on month one, rather than on every renewal.
  4. Bonus items at $22 each are priced separately from the plan, so count them before you judge what the first box really costs.
  5. Nuuly also lists a student discount, but its amount and how you prove you're a student weren't on the pages read, so check the details on Nuuly's site before you count on it.

If your Nuuly code doesn't work

  • Minimum order: "10% off Orders over $50 Plus Free Shipping" needs an order of at least $50.
  • New customers only: "$20 off 1st Month for New Customers" is for a first order.
  • End date: "$20 Off 2 Months for New Subscribers" ends Jan 1, 2027; "$15 Off First 2 Months of Subscription" ends Jan 1, 2027.

More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.

More ways to save at Nuuly

  • Once you're a member, Nuuly Rewards hands out discounts for referring friends, on your birthday and simply for staying subscribed.
  • The referral reward amount isn't stated.
  • If you fall for something in your box, you can buy that rented item at a member discount from your account instead of sending it back.
  • A Nuuly gift card can cover the monthly fee, which makes it a tidy present for someone who'd rather rent than own.
  • And when a month looks quiet, pausing costs nothing and keeps you from paying $98 for clothes you won't wear.

Nuuly questions, answered

How much does a Nuuly subscription cost?

Nuuly has one plan at $98 a month for any six rented items. Sales tax is added, but shipping, late fees and damage fees are already included.

Is there a discount on the first month of Nuuly?

New members get $28 off the first month, so it costs $70 instead of $98. The offer covers that first month only.

Can I cancel Nuuly whenever I want?

Nuuly says there's no commitment, and you can pause or cancel the subscription at any time.

Can I keep something I rented from Nuuly?

Members can buy a rented item at a discount from their account instead of returning it. The size of that discount isn't stated.

Can I get more than six items in a Nuuly box?

Does Nuuly ship outside the US?
