About Eight Sleep

Eight Sleep makes the Pod, a smart bed system that cools and heats while tracking your sleep, with Solo sizes for one sleeper, plus the Base add-on, a Blanket and accessories.

Each Pod system has three parts: a mattress Cover with built-in biometric sensors, a Hub that sits beneath the bed frame and drives the temperature changes, and an app where sleepers set preferences and read their sleep data. The two sides of the bed are controlled separately, at any setting between 55°F and 110°F, which is aimed at couples who sleep at different temperatures.

Full app features depend on an Autopilot subscription, offered in Standard, Enhanced and Elite tiers. Eight Sleep pitches the Pod for workout recovery, hot flashes and pregnancy, timed naps and jet-lag planning, and says that with the Base it can detect snoring and raise the sleeper's head to cut it by up to 45%. Pod protection runs for up to 5 years under the warranty terms.
