About Fresh Prep

Fresh Prep is a Canadian weekly meal delivery subscription with ready-to-cook kits, ready-to-eat meals, salads and 150-plus grocery items, packed in reusable cooler bags.

The biggest saving lands on your first box. Sign-up shows 50% off the first order with free first delivery, and plans start from CA$60.00 a week.

Fresh Prep is a Certified B Corporation, and it says it weighs its effect on staff, local communities and the environment. The menu changes every week with more than 35 meals to choose from, and recipes are planned around seasonal ingredients. Dishes on a recent menu were rated easy and took 20 to 30 minutes, such as a Shanghai noodle chicken stir-fry and a butternut squash mac and cheese.

Plans cover meat and seafood, pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan and family-friendly eating. The Market add-on stocks produce, snacks, desserts and drinks. The company also sells a Zero Waste Kit, which it describes as an industry first, designed to cut the plastic that meal kits use. Members can collect points through Fresh+ Rewards, and only one account is allowed per household.

How long does Fresh Prep shipping take?

Boxes arrive weekly, only inside Fresh Prep's delivery areas, and a delivery blocked by bad weather gets a second attempt at no cost.

What is Fresh Prep's return policy?

Purchases are final, but an unavailable paid item is refunded or swapped for one of equal or greater value.

More about shopping at Fresh Prep

Plans
Weekly plans start from CA$60.00 a week, priced by people and recipes, with vegetarian, meat, fish and family-friendly options.
No commitment
You can skip, pause or cancel, and canceling the plan itself is done by emailing hi@freshprep.ca.
Fresh+ Rewards
Orders earn points in the Fresh+ Rewards program, and points come off again for any refunded item.
Household rule

How to use a Fresh Prep coupon

  1. Fresh Prep shows its 50% first-order offer during sign-up, so the saving starts when you create your account and choose a plan.
  2. Pick the number of people and recipes first, because the plan price sets what the 50% is worth.
  3. The free first delivery comes with it.
  4. Keep the one-account-per-household rule in mind before a housemate signs up separately.
  5. Orders already processed or out for delivery are still charged, so skip or pause early if you won't need that week's box.

More ways to save at Fresh Prep

  • Fresh+ Rewards points build up on regular orders, which gives the weekly plan some value beyond the welcome offer.
  • Gift cards are listed in the site menu for anyone you'd like to treat to a box.
  • Skipping a week under the no-commitment plans avoids paying for meals you won't cook.
  • Meal-kit ingredients are meant to be eaten within 4 days of delivery, so ordering fewer recipes can cut waste.

Fresh Prep questions, answered

Can a Fresh Prep plan be canceled anytime?

Plans carry no commitment, and you cancel by emailing hi@freshprep.ca. Any order already processed or out for delivery is still charged.

What does Fresh Prep cost per week?

Plans start from CA$60.00 a week, and the price depends on how many people and recipes you choose. Vegan and pescatarian plans are listed alongside the standard ones.

Is the first Fresh Prep delivery free?

The first delivery is free, on top of the 50% off the first order shown at sign-up. Fresh Prep doesn't list its regular delivery fee on the plan pages.

What happens if Fresh Prep can't deliver a box?

Bad weather that blocks a delivery triggers a second attempt at no cost. If that also fails, Fresh Prep may cancel the order and refund it.

How long do Fresh Prep ingredients last?

Meal-kit ingredients are meant to be cooked and eaten within 4 days of delivery. Plan the week's recipes around that.

Does Fresh Prep use cardboard boxes?

Meals arrive in reusable, insulated cooler bags instead of cardboard boxes.
