About Original Penguin

Original Penguin sells men's polos, shirts, sweaters, swim, golf and racquet wear, plus women's styles, shoes and accessories, from a brand that traces back to a 1955 Munsingwear golf shirt.

Its promo codes can't be combined with any other offer, discount or promotion, so pick the one deal that saves the most.

The Original Penguin logo has a colorful backstory, as the brand tells it: a Munsingwear salesman named Abbot Pederson bought a stuffed penguin in Manhattan before a flight home, called it Pete, and the bird, later sporting a necktie, ended up embroidered on a golf shirt worn by famous entertainers and golfers. The label now calls itself a full lifestyle brand that blends classic American sportswear with modern style.

Beyond polos, the site carries dress shirts, suits and suit separates, denim, loungewear, underwear and big-and-tall sizes, with edits such as a linen shop and cabana sets, plus fragrance, bags and wallets. An outlet section and physical stores, found through a store locator, sit alongside the web shop. Original Rewards is a free points program with Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers based on yearly spend, and gift cards are sold online.

When shoppers look for Original Penguin coupons

Original Penguin coupon searches peak in April, about 1.3× a typical month, and dip lowest in October.

US Google searches, Oct 2025 to Sep 2026. Search interest, not sales.

How to use a Original Penguin promo code

  1. Original Penguin takes codes at checkout.
  2. The 15% welcome code comes from joining the email list, so sign up before you build your cart, and leave clearance styles out because they don't qualify.
  3. Military shoppers verify through VerifyPass to get 10% off.
  4. Codes can't be combined with any other offer, discount or promotion, which means the military discount and the welcome code can't share an order, and a code won't add to a promotion already running.
  5. Compare them before you pay.
  6. Final-sale items can't be returned, so read the product page firSt.

If your Original Penguin code doesn't work

  • Combining offers: Promotional codes cannot be combined with any other offer, discount or promotion.
  • New customers only: 15% off a first order (sign up for the email list; excludes clearance styles) does not apply to repeat orders.
  • End date: "Take 15% Discount on Your Purchase" ends Nov 20, 2026; "20% Off" ends Nov 20, 2026.
  • Where to enter it: Enter the code at checkout.

More reasons a code fails, and what to try: why promo codes don't work.

More ways to save at Original Penguin
