About OSEA

OSEA makes vegan, seaweed-based skincare and body care in Malibu, a family-owned brand founded in 1996: cleansers, serums, moisturizers, body oils, scrubs and sets.

Promo codes can't be combined, so the 10% email welcome code and any other code won't both land on one order.

OSEA's story starts with founder Jenefer's grandmother Elsa, whom the brand credits as one of the early female chiropractors in the U.S. and a devoted ocean swimmer. Jenefer worked in spa wellness and spent about a decade developing seaweed formulas before the line first went on sale at Fred Segal on Melrose. Her daughter Melissa joined in 1998, working out of the family garage, and became CEO in 2016.

Since 2005 OSEA has sourced its seaweed from a sustainable farm in southern Patagonia, where it developed its own seaweed-based ingredients. Its Undaria Algae Body Oil arrived in 2010. The brand holds PETA vegan and Leaping Bunny cruelty-free certifications, and in 2004 it became the first company to put its name to the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. The range also covers mineral sunscreen, eye and lip care and masks, and the company runs a skincare studio in Venice.

How to use a OSEA coupon

  1. OSEA's code box is the 'Gift card or discount code' field at checkout.
  2. If you're new, join the email list first, since the 10% welcome code is for a first purchase by a new subscriber.
  3. That code doesn't cover subscription products, gift cards, shipping or tax.
  4. Codes can't be combined or added once the order is placed, and most work only once.
  5. A return on a discounted order is refunded at the prorated price, so the code lowers your refund as well as your bill.

Does OSEA have a first-order discount?

New email subscribers get 10% off their first purchase, and SMS sign-up adds another 10% off the next order. The email code excludes subscription products.

Can you use more than one OSEA code?

Promo codes can't be combined in one order or added after it's placed. Most are single use.

Does OSEA charge for returns?

Refunds come minus original shipping and a $5 fee for the U.S. return label. Exchanges aren't offered, and each package can hold only one order.

Is OSEA vegan and cruelty-free?

OSEA is vegan certified by PETA and has held Leaping Bunny cruelty-free certification since 2000.

Does OSEA ship internationally?

OSEA ships to all 50 states, Canada and listed countries. International orders go through Passport and can take up to a week to process.

Can you use an OSEA Venice Studio gift card online?
