About Retrospec
Retrospec makes value-priced outdoor gear: e-bikes, kids' bikes, inflatable paddle boards, skate and snow kit, plus exercise and camping equipment.

Retrospec was founded in 2009 by Ely, now its CEO, who began with a small run of fixed-gear bikes while studying urban planning and looking for an affordable bike for campus. The range has since grown to hundreds of products for cycling, paddling, skating, snow sports and camping, with accessibility at the centre of its design choices.
The company is based in California, with offices in Culver City and Perris, and it designs and tests gear in its own Adventure Lab. Model lines include the Beaumont city bikes, Chatham beach cruisers, Montauk comfort cruisers, Valen fat tire e-bikes and Weekender paddle boards, several e-bikes are labelled UL2849 certified, and a Grateful Dead collection adds limited edition designs.
